Landolfi Meat Tortellini

A delicate egg noodle pasta filled with a delicious mixture of select cheeses and spices.  Tortellini are ring-shaped pasta, stuffed with a mix of meat, spinach or cheese. Tortellini is usually served in broth, either of beef, chicken, or both.

Cooking Instructions

Stove Top: Bring (2) quarts of water to a boil. Place desired amount of frozen tortellini in vigorously boiling water (salted to taste). Lower temperature to a slow rolling boil and stir gently with a spoon. Boil for 3 to 5 minutes or to desired tenderness. Drain and serve with your favorite sauce. One 1 oz. package = approximately 4 individual servings.

Landolfi Mini Round Ravioli

A tasty dumpling noodle composed of different cheeses and/or meat filling sealed between two layers of thin pasta dough. Our ravioli is delicious served with sauce or by itself.

Cooking Instructions

CONVENTIONAL OVEN: Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Remove bread from box and bag. Place on baking pan in pre-heated oven for approx. 25 min. until butter is melted completely and bread crust is desired texture. Separate slices with knife or kitchen shears. GRILL: Pre-heat grill to 350 degrees. Remove bread from box and bag. Place on aluminum foil and wrap completely. Place bread away from flames (indirect heat), for approx. 25 min. Carefully open the top of the foil for the last 5 min. until the butter is melted completely and bread crust is desired texture. Separate slices with knife or kitchen spears.
CAUTION: PRODUCT WILL BE HOT. DO NOT COOK IN MICROWAVE.
Due to variations in all ovens, cooking times and /or temperatures may require adjustment. For reduced cooking time, thaw bread prior to baking and reduce heating time by approximately 10min.

Landolfi Stuffed Cheese Rigatoni

Rigatoni is a form of tube-shaped pasta. The word rigatoni comes from the Italian word rigati, which means “ridged. It is larger than penne and ziti. Rigatoni is usually ridged and the tube’s end does not terminate at an angle, like penne.

Cooking Instructions

MICROWAVABLE:  Due to differences in microwave oven designs, cooking time may vary slightly. Place frozen rigatoni in a microwave safe container covered with your favorite sauce. Cover and microwave on HIGH for approximately 5 minutes, stirring once halfway through.

STOVETOP: Add frozen rigatoni to rapidly boiling salted water. Stir gently. When second boil occurs and rigatoni rise to surface, slow boil uncovered for 1 to 2 minutes to desired tenderness. DO NOT OVERCOOK. Strain and serve with your favorite sauce.

SAUTE: Heat your favorite sauce in a medium to large sized skillet. Add frozen rigatoni and toss gently but frequently over high heat for approximately 5 minutes. Garnish with grated cheese and serve.

Landolfi Garlic Bread

A chewy and crusty italian bread. Delicious homestyle with real garlic makes for the perfect addition to your dinner plate.

Cooking Instructions

KEEP FROZEN until ready to use. If bread is thawed, it will split easier and cook faster. Oven temperatures may vary. Please adjust cooking time accordingly.

DIRECTIONS:

MICROWAVE:
NOT RECOMMENDED

TOASTER OVEN:

  • Preheat toaster oven at 325 F.
  • Cut bread in half. Place on oven pan. (Return remaining half of loaf in bag to freezer).
  • Place pan in toaster oven and bake for 8-9 minutes.
  • Remove pan from toaster oven.
  • Switch from bake to toast.
  • Split loaf and place bread spread side up. Toast at light setting approx. 1 minute or until golden brown.

CONVENTIONAL OVEN:
Caution: Be sure to preheat oven and use a cookie sheet. Do not place bag directly on oven rack. Make sure bag does not touch oven walls. Do not exceed 375 F or 20 minutes cooking time. Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to bag or oven.

  • Preheat oven for 10 minutes to 375 F.
  • Cut bag open at scissor line.
  • Place bread in bag on COOKIE SHEET.
  • Place cookie sheet on MIDDLE RACK in center of oven. Heat for 15 minutes or until heated through.
  • Remove heated bread from bag. Place bread spread side up on cookie sheet.
  • Set oven to BROIL and cook 4-6 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

GRILL:

  • Remove bread from bag.
  • Wrap in aluminum foil.
  • Place bread on grill rack.
  • Grill 10-20 min. Turn frequently to prevent burning.

KEEP FROZEN UNTIL READY TO USE.

Landolfi Cavatelli

Cavatelli are small pasta shells that look like miniature hot dog buns. Cavatelli literally means “little hollows”. Ricotta cavatelli adds ricotta cheese to the dough mix. 

Cooking Instructions

DO NOT DEFROST

STOVETOP: Add frozen cavatelli to 4 quarts boiling water (optional: add 1 TBSP oil to prevent sticking). Stir gently occasionally. Cook for 6-7 minutes or to desired tenderness. Drain and add your favorite sauce.

Landolfi Gnocchi

Gnocchi are thick, soft dough dumplings made with potatoes. Gnocchi is eaten as a first course (primo piatto), as an alternative to soups (minestre) or pasta.

 Common accompaniments of gnocchi include melted butter with sage, pesto, as well as various sauces.

Add frozen Potato Gnocchi to rapidly boiling salted water. Boil until Potato Gnocchi rise to surface, stirring frequently with a spoon. Drain well and serve with your favorite sauce and grated cheese. Great with soup too.
